String quartett instruments - Modern and Baroque models

Vilon Society of Amerca.
Certificate of merit for cello tone

Born in 1956, I started as a cabinet maker before I learned making and repairing the instruments of the quartett. My training took place primarily in the various workshops where I worked, according to the European tradition of violin making.
I also graduated from the Mirecourt Ecole de Lutherie, in Eastern France.

In 1997, I opened my own workshop in Montpellier, Southern France, and since then have been dedicating myself to the making of string quartett instruments, both modern and baroque, . Every instrument of mine, the fruit of a patient aesthetical research, has been conceived and fashioned by hand, on the models of the Cremonese and Venitian Masters, and finished with an oil and amber varnish, as a copy of the antique.
A careful and in-depth set-up of the instrument allows the professional musicians to find with my instruments the tone and sound range they are so eagerly looking for.

In order to be in contact with an international clientele, I am a part, every year, of various events like :
Musicora in Paris
"Musique à Flaine" Academy (Savoy, France)
Kroneberg Festival (Germany)
The Cello Festival in Moita (Corsica)
Mondomusica (Cremona, Italy)
Music Fair (Shanghai, China)
Violin making Academy in Cordes sur Ciel (Tarn, South-Western France)
And others...

I am a member of ALADFI, the French Violin and Bow Makers Association.

I am a member ofAladfi
(the french violin and bow makers association for the instruments handmaking development)

And a member of GLAAF
(the french violin and bow makers Association)
